This article explains how to add attachment fields to your documents and send them out for signing.
You can add fields to your documents on which specific attachments are required to complete the form (e.g., Driver's license photo, ID photo, receipts, etc.). This article describes how to do it.
After signing up or logging in, you will find yourself in the list of documents. Click on the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button and select your document. You can upload PDF, Word, Excel, text, or image files. After uploading your document, it will automatically appear in the list. For more detailed steps on uploading documents and adding fields, you can check out the article How do I add fields to my document?
Adding Attachment Fields to Documents
Then click on the document image to open the document. The document will appear on the screen.
To add an attachment field, click on the ATTACHMENT FIELD button and then click on the part of the document where you would like to place the field.
The field properties options will appear on the panel on the right every time you click or select a field in your document. You can change your field’s settings in this panel or assign the field to a new signer.
You can also name the label of this attachment field there. For example, if you want your signer to add their ID photo there, you can name this ID PHOTO field.
Once you add your attachment fields, click the DONE button in the upper-right corner.
Send Document for Signing
To send the document for signing, click on the SEND FOR SIGNING button. The dialog for sending the document out will pop up. Enter the signers’ email addresses. For more detailed orientation on how to do this part, please check this page.
Signers to Add Attachments to Your Document
After accepting the document and clicking START at the upper-right corner, the signer clicks on the attachment field, automatically opening the upload window. They will now be able to choose the image or document to append to this form.
After the signer finishes the document, you will receive an email with the filled-out document and all the attachments as separate files appended to that same email.
