In some cases, it is useful to have the same fields in a template replicated into other documents that are used for the same purpose but for different people and occasions.
For example, you have a contract or lease agreement template that you'd like to use several times, and you'd like to transfer the same fields that you need into every new document that a new tenant or contractor will sign and fill out. In this instance, the option "APPLY TEMPLATE" is helpful.
The option "APPLY TEMPLATE" copies all the fields from a selected template to a document. This option allows you to create a document outside of DigiSigner, upload the document to DigiSigner, and copy the fields from a template. This way, you don't have to manually add all the fields each time you need to send this document for signing.
For example, you already have an apartment rental agreement template on the app. You like to copy the fields of this document into another similar document.
You will upload the document as you'd normally do, then select the option "APPLY TEMPLATE" to copy all the same fields from the original template into this newly uploaded document.
Then, another window will open, asking you to select the template from which you'd like to copy the fields. Click on the "APPLY" button next to the template.
After that, the fields from your template are copied exactly into the uploaded document.
